There’s been plenty of chatter around Dartmouth lately about a new wing spot on the way, and now it looks like the excitement is about to double across the SouthCoast.

Developer Michael Panagakos has confirmed that not one, but two Wingstop locations are in the works. The first, which we told you about back in March, is headed to 341 State Road in Dartmouth. Now comes word that a second location is planned for New Bedford at 1090 Kings Highway at the current Aaron’s Rent-to-Own building.

Panagakos Development plans on upgrading the building itself as well as mixing in new tenants. While Aaron's will be relocating elsewhere in New Bedford, Wingstop will takeover the west end cap of the former Aaron's storefront and there will eventually be two additional tenants to fill in the remainder of the building.

As for Wingstop, Panagakos teased the news on Instagram, saying both locations are officially moving forward, with permitting and construction plans already underway.

Why This Is a Big Deal Locally

If you’ve never had Wingstop, here’s why people are fired up. The Texas-based chain is known for its cooked-to-order chicken wings tossed in bold flavors like Lemon Pepper, Mango Habanero and its signature Original Hot.

It has also built a loyal following for its seasoned fries, hand-cut veggie sticks and house-made ranch that fans swear by.

Right now, the closest Wingstop locations for SouthCoast residents are a bit of a drive, including spots in Brockton, Providence and Worcester.

When Could They Open?

No official opening dates have been announced just yet, but if everything stays on track, we'll be seeing a grand opening sign popping up sometime in 2026.

Just make sure to ask for extra napkins.
