Imagine being near the finish line of last year's Boston Marathon when you realize something has gone terribly wrong, you are responsible for getting more than 20 people home to New Bedford and you don't know where they are.

Dawn Nunes is the president of the Greater New Bedford Track Club and she joined us this week to tell us about last year and those hectic moments of trying to find the New Bedford runners, many of whom were still out on the course.

She had a lot of help that day from people in Boston and New Bedford that were using their cellphones to text and call and find out where the runners had been diverted to.

Here's the interview from today's morning show.

The track club will be heading back to Boston on Monday morning with nearly 30 runners. WBSM has been welcomed on board the bus and we will have updates on our local "team" throughout the day on Patriots Day.
