He was arrested without incident and charged with carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, and unlawful possession of a high capacity feeding device.

In October, an 18-year-old New Bedford man named Donnie Moniz was arrested following a short chase in Fairhaven after he was allegedly involved in stealing a motorcycle out of Wareham.

Police did not immediately confirm if this is the same person.

Det. Nathan Goncalo and Det. Samuel Algarin-Mojica led the illegal firearm investigation.
