The New Bedford Educators Association has ratified a contract between the City and the teachers.

Union members met for about an hour at Keith Middle School Tuesday afternoon, to hear union leaders present a tentative contract that had been negotiated over the past several weeks.

Without going into any detail, NBEA President Lou St. John tells WBSM News both the City and teachers brought their own sets of concerns to the bargaining table.

The School Committee must approve the contract before it is implemented.

A press conference concerning the contract is scheduled for 11am Wednesday.
