Update: New Bedford Police Lt. Scott Carola said the victim, an adult male, was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, and an arrest has already been made. The suspect was not identified.

NEW BEDFORD — Another stabbing has taken place in New Bedford, after police confirmed reports of an incident on Cottage Street Monday afternoon.

It's the second stabbing reported in the city in the past two days, with one person hospitalized after a stabbing on Acushnet Avenue on Sunday morning.

New Bedford Police Lt. Scott Carola confirmed that a call came in reporting another stabbing victim at 596 Cottage St. on Monday.

One person was injured, but Carola said the injury is not life threatening.

It is unclear if the victim was taken to the hospital.

Carola said that detectives are actively investigating the Monday stabbing.

No further details were disclosed.
