New Bedford Robbery Suspects Appear with Possible Handgun

NEW BEDFORD — Police were called to the Subway restaurant at 157 Coggeshall Street on a report that about three or four people stole a person's belongings.

When officers arrived, a man told them that the items were stolen while he at the nearby McDonald's. He said the suspects then fled.

It was then reported that the suspects returned with a baseball bat. That's when the victim ran to the Subway.
A witness said one of the men had a bat and another appeared to display a handgun.

No one was injured. Police are continuing their investigation. The incident happened on Friday night.
