New Bedford Rent-A-Center Robbed by Armed Men

NEW BEDFORD - New Bedford Police are investigating an armed robbery in the South End.

The 27-year-old male employee at Rent-A-Center on Dartmouth Street told police two men came into the store just after 6 P.M. Wednesday demanding money. The victim said one of the men had a gun.

The suspects took cash, television and video equipment, according to the victim. He was not injured during the robbery.

One of the suspects is described as about 5'9", 150 pounds and in his early twenties, wearing a blue and black hoodie with white sneakers and tan pants. The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male, about 6' tall with a heavy build, wearing blue jeans and a red hoodie.
