
New Bedford Police Seize Over 130 Grams of Fentanyl, Arrest Two
NEW BEDFORD - New Bedford Police seize a large quantity of fentanyl after carrying out a search warrant in a South End home.
Following an investigation into a heroin distribution service, police raided an apartment at 11 George Street around 11:50 p.m. Wednesday. Inside the home, police discovered 130.5 grams of fentanyl and 13.8 grams of cocaine, packaging materials, and digital scales.
Police arrested the occupants of the home, Jensen Louis Peraza-Rivera, 27, and Abraham Roosevelt Turner, 30.
Both men are charged with trafficking in fentanyl (over 100 grams), conspiracy to violate drug laws, and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. Peraza-Rivera also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
Turner was arrested in the George Street apartment while Peraza-Rivera was arrested in the parking lot of the Harss Express gas station on Brock Avenue.
