NEW BEDFORD — New Bedford Police arrested a city resident and took drugs and cash off the streets on Saturday.

On June 27, New Bedford Police narcotics detectives seized 184 grams of fentanyl, 23 grams of cocaine, 198 Suboxone strips, drug trafficking paraphernalia and $9,938 in cash at 85 Fern Street.

Ari Rason, 42, of that address was arrested and charged with trafficking in cocaine and fentanyl. Rason was previously found guilty of possession with the intent to distribute in 2015.

Detective Tim Soares investigated the case.
