A New Bedford man living in public housing is arrested on numerous charges after drugs and a large amount of cash is seized from his home.

New Bedford Police executed a search warrant at 78 Apache Court in the Shawmut Village Housing Development Thursday night, turning up 274 grams of marijuana, 35 grams of oxycodone, and $16,910 in cash. Packaging materials were also seized.

Police arrested the occupant of the home, 48-year-old Raul Medina, Jr. Medina faces charges of possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute class marijuana, subsequent offense, trafficking oxycodone, possession with intent to distribute oxycodone, subsequent offense, and outstanding warrant.

Medina is being arraigned Friday in New Bedford District Court.
