
New Bedford Police Respond to Reported Arson Threat
NEW BEDFORD — A scary situation for residents of a South End building Thursday night, as someone threatens arson.
New Bedford Police received a report from a resident at 74 Ellen Street at 11:49 p.m. Thursday that fire alarms had gone off, and that she heard someone threatening to burn down the building.
When police arrived, a newly burned roll of paper towels was found.
Police say no one was injured, and no damage was reported.
