New Bedford Police Respond to Fight at Local Bar

NEW BEDFORD — A fist fight over stolen property at a local bar led to the arrest of two men on Sunday.

New Bedford Police responded to a disturbance at Fernando’s Sports Bar, located at 116 County Street, just before 7:00 p.m. Sunday night.

Officers later discovered that two parties known to each other were involved in a fight over a claim of stolen property.

The names of the individuals involved have not been released.

No serious injuries were reported. A criminal hearing has been requested.
