New Bedford Police Recover Stolen Out-of-State Gun

NEW BEDFORD — New Bedford Police have announced the recovery of an out-of-state stolen weapon that was brought into the city.

Police say that on July 21, Gang Unit detectives recovered a stolen .45-caliber Taurus revolver at 375 Middle Street at the Temple Landing Community Center.

The weapon was reported stolen out of North Carolina.

Canae Monteiro, 19, of North Carolina was charged with illegal possession of a firearm, which was a subsequent offense.
