A New Bedford man is under arrest and charged with trafficking fentanyl in excess of 10 grams.

On Saturday before noon, detectives from the New Bedford Police Narcotics Unit searched an apartment at 42 Davis St. They say they found 208 grams of fentanyl with a street value of $21,000.

Jesus Jiminez-Lopez, 26, was arrested. He was due to be arraigned today in New Bedford District Court. The case was investigated by Det. Nathan Pimental and Det. Sgt. Jon Lagoa, according to a press release from the New Bedford Police Department.

The arrest followed by one day a major law enforcement sweep of suspected fentanyl dealers in Fall River.
