NEW BEDFORD — Police are investigating after a copper was stolen from a New Bedford barber shop.

New Bedford Police responded to the Colonial Barber Shop at 1853 Acushnet Avenue Wednesday on a report that a piece of copper siding had been stolen from the facade of the building.

It marks the second report of stolen copper this week in the city. Police received a report on Monday that copper trim was missing from the roof of the Fort Taber-Fort Rodman Military Museum.

Police are investigating.
