New Bedford Police Investigating Reported Armed Robbery

NEW BEDFORD — Police are investigating a report of an armed robbery in New Bedford's North End over the weekend.

New Bedford Police received the report Monday from a victim who claimed they had been robbed of their wallet in the area of 1359 Acushnet Avenue at around 1 a.m. on Saturday. The victim told police that the suspect showed a knife during the robbery.

No injuries were reported.

Police did not disclose whether a description of the suspect was received.
