New Bedford Police Investigating Alleged Armed Threats

NEW BEDFORD — New Bedford Police are investigating an incident that took place Sunday morning in which one man says he was threatened by another man with a weapon.

Police responded to a report Sunday at about 7:18 a.m. that, in the area of Cove Road and County Streets, a man had been approached by another man with a weapon, who made threats. Police did not disclose what type of weapon was shown.

The alleged suspect then reportedly fled south on County Street toward Cove Road.

Police say no injuries were reported and nothing was taken from the victim.
