New Bedford Police Arrest Two on Drug Charges in Hotel Parking Lot
NEW BEDFORD — Two people are arrested after New Bedford Police find them engaged in drug activity in the parking lot of a hotel.
Thursday night at approximately 7:55 p.m., members of the New Bedford Police Gang Unit observed a man and a woman engaged in drug activity in a vehicle outside of the New Bedford Inn and Suites, located at 500 Hathaway Road.
Police searched the vehicle and discovered the man, 55-year-old Samir G. Khoury of 27 Clark Street, Apartment 1 in New Bedford, was in possession of four grams of heroin and three Suboxone strips. The woman, 32-year-old Crystal Lashell Rodriguez of 28 Harrison Street in Taunton, was found in possession of four grams of heroin.
Both were arrested. Khoury is charged with possession of a Class A substance (heroin) and possession of a Class B substance (Suboxone). Rodriguez is charged with possession of a Class A drug (heroin). Both also faces charges of conspiracy to violate drug laws.
