NEW BEDFORD — New Bedford police have arrested a Brockton teen at a West End housing development on Wednesday for illegally possessing a gun.

Police said narcotics and gang detectives patrolling the city's West End at Temple Landing at around 11:20 p.m. on Jan. 5 stopped a car with four people inside.

It is unclear why the car was originally stopped.

During a search, police said 18-year-old Jusue DaSilva of Brockton was found to have a loaded Sig P320 pistol in his jacket.
