New Bedford Police Arrest New Bedford Man with Loaded Gun

NEW BEDFORD - Another handgun is off the streets of New Bedford after police search a Sycamore Street apartment.

Police carried out a search warrant at an apartment at 75 Sycamore Street Sunday afternoon as part of an investigation into illegal possession of a firearm.

Inside the home, police found a Glock .40 caliber handgun loaded with 14 rounds of ammunition in an unsecure location.

Police arrested the occupant of the apartment, Ejanie Trent Nascimento, 20.

Nascimento is charged with possession of a large capacity firearm, improper storage of a large capacity firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, and unlawful possession of a large capacity feeding device.
