NEW BEDFORD — Members of the New Bedford Police narcotics unit arrested five men and took cocaine, fentanyl and pills off the street Tuesday, following an investigation into a cocaine distribution service out of 425 Cottage Street.

One of the men arrested, 25-year-old Tylor Santos, was arrested outside the residence. He was found in possession of more than 20 grams of fentanyl and more than $800 in cash. He was arrested on charges of trafficking in fentanyl as well as a warrant arrest.

The other men were arrested at the residence. Police located fentanyl, cocaine, a digital scale, packaging materials, Suboxone strips and more than $1,000 in cash.

Also arrested was:

Paul Fernandes, 44, 425 Cottage Street, Apartment 1, New Bedford, on charges of: possession of cocaine with intent to distribute; conspiracy to violate drug laws; possession of class E substance with intent to distribute; possession of heroin; possession of cocaine with intent to distribute; subsequent offense; and a warrant arrest.

He has a prior guilty conviction for possession to distribute heroin on July 13, 2016.

Colton Choquette, 29, 234 Chestnut Street, Apartment 1, New Bedford on charges of possession of Suboxone; possession of cocaine with intent to distribute; and conspiracy to violate drug laws.

Kevin Dallin, 48, 716 Shunbike Road, Erma, New Jersey, on charges of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute; possession of class E substance; and conspiracy to violate drug laws.

Richard Hess, 47, of 105 Hogan Drive, no town listed, Virginia, on charges: possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, and conspiracy to violate drug laws.
