New Bedford Police are seeking charges against two teenage boys who are accused of harming an animal Wednesday afternoon.
Police say animal cruelty charges are being sought against a 15-year-old male and a 17-year-old male after they allegedly threw rocks at a squirrel in Riverside Park around 1 p.m.
Witnesses told police they saw the squirrel suffering from a severe eye injury and bleeding as it ran away into a nearby yard.
