New Bedford Pair Busted After Wareham Hit-and-Run Crash
Two young women from New Bedford face charges after a traffic stop in Wareham.
Wareham police say Amanda Vincent, 27, was behind the wheel and intoxicated on liquor mid-day on Wednesday when she fled the scene of a motor vehicle crash near the Route 195 overpass on Cranberry Highway.
Officer Aaron Pacheco stopped Vincent's vehicle on Wednesday around noon near Atlantic Boats on Cranberry Highway. She was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, and operating without a license in possession.
Karissa Depina, 25. was a passenger in the car. She was placed into custody because of an active warrant, according to Wareham police.
Also in Wareham, a local man was arrested around 5:11 a.m. after police saw him driving down the center of Main Street with the back left wheel missing from his car. Matthew Donovan, 28, is charged with operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation, and a marked lane violation.
