New Bedford Police Make Arrest in South End Shots Fired Incident
New Bedford Police have made an arrest in connection with Friday afternoon’s incident of shots fired on Norwell Street in the city’s South End.
Police arrested Jarred Chumack, 32, of 185 Ash Street, Apartment 1. He is charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, multiple firearms offenses, and motor vehicle offenses.
The incident occurred at around 2 p.m. on Friday, May 21.

According to police, there were no victims or injuries reported as a result of the shooting.
