
New Bedford Men Charged After Apparent Drug Deal
NEW BEDFORD — Narcotics detectives were monitoring street level drug sales in the South End of the City. They observed activity in a house known for drug activity on Thursday afternoon.
The defendant would leave from this house and enter a vehicle that was stopped shortly after by Narcotics in the 100 block of Walnut Street.
Based on their training and experience, they determined a transaction was made, and both the operator and passenger were placed under arrest. A subsequent search did yield narcotics possession and violations.
Arrested were Biender Abdullah, 27, of Shawmut Ave, New Bedford, and charged with possession of a Class A narcotic and conspiracity to violate drug laws.
Also facing the same charges is Roger Wayne Cook. 22, of Holly Street, New Bedford.
