New Bedford Market Robbed at Gunpoint

NEW BEDFORD - The Brock Avenue Market in the south end of New Bedford was robbed at gunpoint Thursday night.

The clerk told police a man came into the store after 7 P.M. last night and threatened the clerk with what appeared to be a black gun.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned black male, about 5' 5", with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black coat with a hood, a white shirt, tan pants, and black high top sneakers or boots. He was able to flee with cash from the store.
