If you have been shopping at Market Basket this holiday season, then you have probably seen how seriously the stores take Christmas. Most locations across New England are decorated from top to bottom, with the customer service desks getting some extra special attention.

It seems there was a contest this season at all Market Basket locations to see which store could come up with the best design for their service desk. With nearly 100 supermarkets across the region, the pressure was on for the local stores here on the SouthCoast – and they did not disappoint.

After checking out the service desk submissions for every store, Market Basket posted its choice for Top 10 on the company Facebook page, and three area locations made the list. New Bedford, Fall River and even the new store in Warwick, Rhode Island were so well decorated the company had to show off their displays.

Photos of the highly-decorated service desks were shared about a week before Christmas and Facebook users were able to decide who was the best of the best, but they didn't let you know who you were voting for. In a twist I enjoyed, the store displays were left anonymous on purpose, so the best decorations really would win.

We, however, did a little digging and figured out which of the top 10 were our local SouthCoast stores and figured out where they landed among Market Basket voters.

Drumroll, please (insert drumroll noise here)...these are the results of the Market Basket customer service desk decorating contest.

The crews at Market Basket locations across New England got into the holiday spirit big time this year, decking out store customer service desks to the nines. From full-on log cabins to crazy Whoville decor, the stores that made the company's top 10 list did not disappoint.
