New Bedford Man Wanted in Maine Turns Himself In
NEW BEDFORD - A New Bedford man wanted on a warrant out of Maine has turned himself in.
Police say 18-year-old Trevor Teves turned himself over to police at the Rockdale Avenue headquarters late Monday morning.
Teves had been arrested in Waldoboro, Maine, in March, along with 34-year-old Cameron Soto after police found heroin, fentanyl, scales, and $1,800 in cash in their vehicle. Police found a 9mm handgun in Teves' possession at the time of his arrest.
Teves had been released on $1,000 bail while Soto was held on $25,000.
Teves had fled the state of Maine before deciding to turn himself in this week.
Teves has now been charged with being a fugitive from justice.
