New Bedford Man Stabbed in Hand, Police Searching for Suspect

New Bedford Police are investigating a stabbing incident that took place at the corner of Pleasant and Elm Streets Sunday afternoon.

A 38-year-old New Bedford man claims that around 4:15 p.m., another man stabbed him in the hand and took his wallet, which contained no cash and just the victim's identification cards. According to police, the victim knew the assailant but did not provide the name of the suspect to police.

The victim sustained a minor cut to his left hand.
