New Bedford Man Missing Since June
NEW BEDFORD — New Bedford Police are on the lookout for a city man who has been missing for more than a month.
Police said that no one has heard from Lawrence Fernandes, 68, since he boarded a North Carolina-bound bus on June 9.
He is described as being a Black man, six feet nine inches tall and around 320 lbs., with brown eyes and black hair.

Fernandes also has tattoos on his forearms listing the names Ashanti, Johara, Omara, and Ida.
Anyone with any information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the New Bedford Police Department at (508) 991-6300.
