BROCKTON — A New Bedford man has been identified as the victim of a fatal shooting in Brockton over the weekend.

Police found Earl Thomas, 32, of New Bedford, suffering from gunshot wounds in a parking lot Friday night. He was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

Massachusetts State Police, assisted by Brockton Police, arrested a Brockton man in connection to the shooting. Queito Miranda, 29, was arrested in Worcester and will be arraigned on a murder charge Tuesday in Brockton District Court.

The Plymouth County District Attorney's Office says Miranda gunned down Thomas in the parking lot on Highland Street in Brockton just before midnight on Friday.
