
New Bedford Man Identified as Victim in Boston Double Homicide
BOSTON — One of the victims of a double homicide in Boston's Jamaica Plain neighborhood Monday night was a New Bedford man.
Boston Police say 32-year-old Christian Green of New Bedford was one of two people fatally shot Monday night. Police were called to the corner of Mozart and Bolster Streets Monday night at 9:59 p.m. for a reported shooting.
When they arrived, they found one victim on Mozart Street suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A second victim was found on Bolster Street, also suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The other victim was identified as 34-year-old Jose M. Martinez of Boston.
No arrests have been made. Boston Mayor Marty Walsh said Tuesday that the fatal shooting did not appear to be random.
