
New Bedford Man Found Dead of Suspected Overdose
NEW BEDFORD - The Bristol County District Attorney's Office is investigating the death of a New Bedford man over the weekend.
District Attorney spokesman Gregg Miliote tells WBSM News the man, a 37-year-old New Bedford resident, was found dead in Kempton Street apartment at around 6:20 a.m. on Sunday.
Miliote says evidence found at the scene points to a heroin overdose as the cause of death.
The body has been turned over to the State Medical Examiner for a toxicology test to determine the exact cause of death.
