New Bedford Man Dead from Apparent Overdose

NEW BEDFORD — A 27-year-old city man has died of an apparent overdose.

The Bristol County District Attorney's Office confirms to WBSM News that a man living in a Plymouth Street residence was found dead in the home at about 7:21 a.m. on the morning of Tuesday, March 5.

A spokesman for the DA's office says the man was found deceased on his bedroom floor by his housemate, and that a straw with brown powder on it was found with him, along with other paraphernalia in the bedroom.
