NEW BEDFORD — Police have arrested a New Bedford man on his third charge of operating under the influence.

New Bedford Police were called to the area of 1180 Kempton Street at about 9:23 p.m. on Tuesday for a report of an unresponsive driver in traffic.

Police responded to the scene and determined that the driver, Dimitrius Hanley, 33, of 246 Tremont Street, New Bedford, was under the influence of alcohol.

Police arrested Hanley at the scene and charged him with operating under the influence of alcohol (third offense), operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, and possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
