New Bedford Man Arrested on Cocaine Charge

NEW BEDFORD — The New Bedford Police Narcotics Unit made an arrest Wednesday as part of an investigation into street-level narcotics sales in the city's North End.

Police observed an individual behaving in a manner consistent with drug transactions shortly before 11 p.m., in the area of 313 North Front Street.

Further investigation found 39-year-old Paul Mota of 15 Jarry Street, New Bedford, in possession of cocaine.

He was arrested on charges of possession of cocaine.
