New Bedford Man Arrested in Weld Street Raid

NEW BEDFORD — A New Bedford man is arrested after an investigation into a cocaine distribution service operating out of his Weld Street apartment.

Members of the New Bedford Police Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at 203 Weld Street, Apartment 3, at 5:26 p.m. Thursday.

Police located about three grams of cocaine, $935 in currency, a digital scale and packaging materials.

Police arrested 28-year-old Anthony Claiborne of that address on charges of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.
