Although the suspect tried to leave on foot, he was apprehended near the area by West End patrol officers.

Police said the suspect was identified as 20-year-old Devin Bryce Pacheco of Newton Street.

Pacheco is charged with indecent assault and battery.

According to police, Pacheco was also involved in a similar incident several months ago at a local supermarket.

On August 22, he allegedly approached a woman as she was shopping and groped her from behind.

He was arrested by a detail officer at the time, with the case still open at New Bedford District Court.

Due to this new charge, the Bristol County District Attorney's office has requested that his bail be revoked.

Police said Pacheco is now being held on $15,000 bail.
