New Bedford Man Arrested for Dartmouth House Break
DARTMOUTH - Dartmouth Police detectives arrested a New Bedford man on an outstanding warrant for his involvement in breaking into a home in Dartmouth earlier this month.
On Tuesday, Dartmouth Police detectives, along with members of the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section (VFAS), arrested 43-year-old Lino Simoes of Bourne Street in New Bedford on an outstanding warrant.
The warrant was issued based on his involvement in a residential house break that occurred in Dartmouth on Monday, August 7, 2017.
The incident was investigated by Officer David Oikarinen and Detective Kyle Costa.
"This arrest was a direct result of the public's willingness to step forward and assist the police department in making certain that the security of their neighborhoods remain intact," Acting Chief of Police Brian Levesque said.
