New Bedford Man Arrested for Cocaine Possession

NEW BEDFORD — A New Bedford man was arrested Monday as part of an investigation targeting street level narcotics in the city's North End.

New Bedford Police observed suspicious activity in a vehicle on Davis Street shortly after 7 p.m. Monday. When they approached the vehicle, they discovered a small amount of cocaine in possession of a passenger.

Police arrested the man, 36-year-old Shane R. Medeiros of 332 Ashley Boulevard. He was charged with possession of cocaine.
