New Bedford Man Arrested for Allegedly Exposing Himself
NEW BEDFORD — New Bedford Police have arrested a man for allegedly exposing himself to a woman.
On Saturday, June 22, at approximately 10 a.m., New Bedford Police responded to the area of Brock Avenue and Portland Street after a woman called, stating a male had pulled up to her in his vehicle and exposed himself to her. The woman was able to provide a description of the male and the vehicle he was operating.
With the information provided by the victim, police were able to locate the male, who was then placed under arrest. He was identified as Exequiel Abarca, 41, of 68 Acushnet Avenue in New Bedford.
Mr. Exequiel was charged with open and gross lewdness and lewd and lascivious acts.
The Detective Division is further investigating other similar incidents in the South End of the city that may be connected in the last two weeks.
