New Bedford’s Kyler’s Catch Seafood Launches Lobster Corn Dog Special For November
Hold the boat!
Kyler’s Catch Seafood Market and Kitchen in New Bedford has introduced another inventive dish for its customers: the Lobster Corn Dog, available throughout November for $22.
Known for bringing fresh, unique seafood creations to the SouthCoast, Kyler’s is rolling out this month’s special a little early, giving diners a chance to enjoy it for a limited time.
Chef Matt Medeiros, the culinary mind behind this month’s special, explained the process behind the dish.
“We start with freshly shucked lobster tails, split them in half, and put them on a skewer," he said. "We then roll it in our homemade cornmeal batter with a hint of dill and Old Bay, deep frying them until they reach a tempura-like crisp.”
To be clear, each order is made up of one whole lobster tail.
The lobster corn dogs come served over a bed of fries, paired with house-made lemon aioli and ketchup, making for a satisfying blend of classic comfort food and seafood flair.
Fans of Kyler’s can also look forward to their next creation: a lobster cheese and corn arancini (a deep-fried risotto ball) expected to debut soon.
Stop by Kyler’s Catch in New Bedford to try this new spin on a classic favorite before it’s gone, as it will only be available for a couple more weeks.
