New Bedford Housing Office Receives State Recognition

New Bedford's Office of Housing and Community Development has received an award from MassHousing.

The Outstanding Partner Award was recently awarded to the New Bedford office for it's commitment to homeownership, homebuyer dedication, homebuyer education, lead paint removal, and other services.

New Bedford was the only municipality to receive such recognition.

In a written statement, Patrick J. Sullivan, Director of the Office of Housing and Community Development said of the recognition, “Our Office was honored to be recognized by MassHousing with the Outstanding Partner Award. Lori Moring, our Deputy Director leads a great team that strives to create homeownership opportunities in New Bedford. We could not achieve all that we do for our residents without the support and collaboration of the many dedicated local lender and realtor partners.”
