New Bedford Gets Thirteen Inches of Snow, City Offices Re-Opening
NEW BEDFORD - Over a foot of snow fell over Greater New Bedford during Thursday's storm. Plows and sanders continue to condition the roadways this morning.
New Bedford schools remain closed for the day, along with Dartmouth, Fairhaven, Westport, and the Old Rochester School District, which includes all schools in Marion, Mattapoisett and Rochester.
New Bedford municipal offices including City Hall, libraries, and senior centers will be re-opening today. Buttonwood Park Zoo remains closed
The city-wide parking ban will be lifted as of noon today.
And trash collection is still delayed by one day, so residents in Ward Five will have their trash picked up today, with Ward Six residents asked to put their trash curbside on Saturday.
