New Bedford Gas Station Break

New Bedford Police arrest a city man in connection with a break in at the Stop and Save Gas station on Ashley Blvd in the north end early Tuesday morning. Moments after the break, police saw the suspect walking in the area of Purchase and Sawyer Streets, carrying 2 large plastic bags which contained 50 packs of cigarettes and cigars that were stolen from the gas station as well as shards of glass from the glass door that was broken by the suspect in the break. 38 year old Steven Vultao of Clark Street in New Bedford was taken into custody and transported to St. Luke's Hospital for treatment on his cut hand. He was later arrainged in district court on breaking and entering charges.
