In what has become an annual tradition, South Coast Towing in New Bedford is once again offering free rides home and a free tow of your vehicle if you’ve partied a little too hard on New Year’s Eve.

The “Safe Rides Home” service has been something South Coast Towing offers each New Year’s Eve since 2002, and it works like this: if you’re too intoxicated to safely drive home, you call South Coast and they will tow your vehicle to your home (and give you a ride as well) at no charge.

The service is offered between midnight at 3 a.m., and is only for those in Acushnet, Dartmouth, Fairhaven, Fall River, Freetown, New Bedford or Westport.

The Sandwich Giants Holiday Light Creations

The Sandwich Giants are a holiday tradition in the town of Sandwich, Massachusetts. Most are created by one man, artist Michael Magyar, and are placed outside of homes and businesses to create a de facto holiday scavenger hunt.
