The weekend will ramp up to an Academy Awards-style ceremony at the Steeple Playhouse. You can get tickets and see the full festival schedule by visiting the New Bedford Film Festival's website

The film festival received just about 250 submissions, not just from our area but from around the United States. They had to narrow that down to showcasing just 98 of those films and 18 of them are local.

“We are so excited to bring you another year of beautiful films and empowering stories," said Ethan de Aguiar, Founder and President of the New Bedford Film Festival.

This sounds like a truly excellent opportunity to not only see the works of some of our SouthCoast talent but also get to meet and mingle with them. Who knows, it may inspire you to create a masterpiece.
