New Bedford’s Feast of the Blessed Sacrament Announces Full Entertainment Lineup
New Bedford’s Feast of the Blessed Sacrament returns after a two-year hiatus with its 106th edition, and today announced the full entertainment lineup for the August 4-7 event.
We previously reported that the Thursday headliner will be Get the Led Out, one of the nation’s premiere Led Zeppelin tribute bands.
Today, Feast President Rick Fernandes announced the headliners for Friday and Sunday as well.
“The 2022 Entertainment Committee has been hard at work to continue the tradition of top-quality, free entertainment for folks of all ages,” Fernandes said in a release.
On Friday night, the headliner will be The Great Escape, a tribute to Journey. You can expect to hear all of your favorites such as “Separate Ways,” “Wheel in the Sky,” and of course, “Don’t Stop Believin’.”
Saturday night will be headlined by New Bedford's own Band Faith, which won the “New Talent” and “Música Popular” trophies at the star-studded 10th annual International Portuguese Music Awards.
On Sunday night, Danny Klein’s Full House will finish off the Feast festivities. Klein was the bassist and founding member of the legendary J. Geils Band, and his Full House group continues on the party rock tradition, playing the J. Geils hits like “Centerfold,” “Must’ve Got Lost,” and “Freeze Frame.”
The Feast of the Blessed Sacrament will feature four stages of free entertainment throughout the four-day event. For more information and the full entertainment lineup, visit the Feast website, and don’t forget to check out the Museum of Madeiran Heritage as well.
