The Massachusetts Trial court says New Bedford District Court will reopen on Monday.

The court was shut down earlier this month after 11 employees tested positive for COVID-19.

The Trial Court has reviewed protocols and says it is working closely with the Mass.  Department of Public Health to ensure the protocols are followed.

In a statement issued Friday, the Trial Court says it is following CDC guidelines for employees returning to work: employees who test positive will not be allowed in the courthouse until 10 days have passed since the onset of symptoms. Also, employees must be fever-free without the aid of medication for at least 24 hours, and other symptoms have significantly improved.

The Trial Court's COVID Operations Division has established an email address to receive input from court users or staff members related to any aspect of court operations that may be causing concern.

Messages can be sent to tcconcerns@jud.state.ma.us.
