New Bedford Police are seeking a man who fled the scene after allegedly crashing a vehicle into a restaurant early on New Year's Eve.

Police say that at about 5 a.m. Friday, officers responded to the Dunkin’ on Purchase Street for a report of two men passed out. When the officers attempted to wake the men to talk with them, they say the male driver fled the scene and crashed into another car on County and Austin Street.

The cars then both crashed into La Candela Restaurant.
